Day Spa
A facility that offers spa services on a day-use basis.
Dead Sea Mud Treatment
A skin treatment that uses mud from the Dead Sea area of Israel. High
in minerals, this mud is applied directly to the client's body. This
spa treatment helps to detoxify the body and ease pain from arthritis
or rheumatism.
Deep Cleansing Facial
A facial skin treatment that uses machines or manual stimulation to open
pores, extract blackheads, and purify and revitalize the skin.
Deep Muscle/Tissue Massage
A massage therapy technique that can be very intense and uncomfortable,
but that has valued benefits, this type of massage separates muscle
groups and loosens connective tissue, leading to more freedom of movement
and deep relaxation. Two well-known types of deep muscle or tissue
massage therapy are Rolfing and Hellerwork.
Destination Spa
A facility that offers on-site accommodations, spa services, fitness
and wellness elements, and spa cuisine to introduce to its clients
a lifestyle and health improvement.
Dulse Scrub Skin Treatment
A gentle skin treatment technique in which the client's body is rubbed
with a mixture of powdered dulse seaweed and oil or water. This exfoliating
skin treatment removes layers of dead skin cells, provides minerals
and vitamins to the skin.
